Helpful Places is a social impact enterprise advancing the adoption and stewardship of Digital Trust for Places and Routines (DTPR.io), an open-source data structure, visual language and “nutrition label” for urban tech that helps people see and understand how data, sensors, and AI shapes the places we live, work and play in. Helpful Places helps organizations, and the communities they serve, harness the power of technology in ways that are transparent, inclusive, participatory, and in alignment with community goals through DTPR. DTPR is a globally recognized framework — Helpful Places has supported its implementation in more than 12 communities across North America, Europe and Australia.

Jacqueline is Founder of Helpful Places & CEO, she is a leader in smart cities with more than two decades of public service and technology implementation experience. Formerly, she was the Data Lead at Mozilla Foundation, Director of Digital Integration at Sidewalk Labs, and the founding Director of Data Analytics at the NYC Parks Department. As Data Lead at Mozilla Foundation, Jacqueline led the development and implementation of their data strategy. As Director of Digital Integration at Sidewalk Labs, she led incorporating innovation objectives, technology policy and data ethics into the company’s approach to urban development projects. Jacqueline has more than 20 years of experience implementing data and tech that helps improve public spaces. She is also a Working Group Member and Task Force Contributor for the G20 Global Smart Cities Alliance, a member of the World Economic Forum’s Council for the Connected World and the Global Futures Council for Data Equity, and a Board Member at Superbloom Design.
