A new standard of trust for the digital age.
Becoming a GliaNet Fiduciary™ entails agreeing to adopt our PLEDGE, a voluntary commitment by companies to align their external policies and operational practices with core fiduciary principles.
It’s not quite (yet) a third-party certification. But it is a self-imposed, ethically-grounded obligation, presented as a company’s public commitment to its customers.
This PLEDGE is not available to be used by just anyone. Only members of the GliaNet Alliance, and their direct B2B customers, are eligible to become GliaNet Fiduciaries™.
Importantly, each company acting as a GliaNet Fiduciary™ retains full responsibility for its commitments. The GliaNet Alliance does not certify, monitor, or enforce the PLEDGE on a company’s behalf. Instead, companies signal their duties through use of a pledgemark, a visually recognizable trust-mark embedded in their own outward-facing documents.
The GliaNet Alliance is an international initiative advancing fiduciary governance for the digital era. We are building a human-centered ecosystem grounded in:
Our members include organizations at the forefront of digital rights, responsible AI, and platform governance. Together, we are creating models, like the Net Fiduciary™ that re-align power with duty and restore digital trust.
A Net Fiduciary™ is a Web-based company that adopts a fiduciary posture toward its clients, voluntarily & visibly. By embedding this commitment into their legal agreements, terms of service, & privacy policy, companies pledge to:
The foundation of this model is the PEP framework, a modern translation of common law fiduciary duties adapted for digital operations.
The PEP Model defines the operational duties of a Net Fiduciary™. It translates fiduciary law into three practical responsibilities:
Protect (Guardian) — Duty of Care
The “do no harm” principle. Companies must safeguard client data and well-being, not just by complying with law (e.g., GDPR),
...but by adopting practices like:
Enhance (Mediator) — Duty of Fidelity
Conflicts must be resolved in favor of the client.
That means:
Promote (Advocate) — Duty of Loyalty
Companies take affirmative steps to promote client interests.

This reputational commitment exists between the GliaNet Fiduciary™ and its clients. If necessary, any recourse lies solely with the company.
